UN Habitat Park
Early this year Al Ameed alongside UN-Habitat sponsored the construction of a safe public space in Zarqa. The project entails building a public park in Al-Majd Residential City, Zarqa. The aim of this park is to provide an inclusive public space for families. A park that will not only serve the need for public social services, but will also pave the way for cultural exchange between Syrian refugees and local residents. The park’s design considers the needs and priorities of various age groups and is equipped with special needs access.
The first stage of development included constructing a space of 1000m^2. This area includes a seating area and a kids’ playground, all of which will be covered with greenery. Having such public spaces enables fostering joyful souls and an integrated community. Being an integrated part of the community ourselves, Al Ameed is proud to be a part of this project and we walk forward with the hope that it will truly reflect positively on the community.
